anyone tried this before? found it on Bimmian.com
I have a 2008 E60 550i with some performance mods but always wanting more power without jeperdizing reliability.

whats weird is on the active autowerkes site it doesnt show it for a E60 550i but on the Bimmian website they show it for E60 04-10 545i/550i engine: N62. ECU: ME9.2

My Ride: 2007 E60 550i Black/Sand. Dinan free flow intake, throttle body, carbon fiber strut brace, and exhaust. Carbon fiber engine cover. Blend mount for a Belltronics RD w/mirror tap. Smoke LED taillights. Projector fog-lites w/HID kit.
wish they could have published a dino sheet. I'm always skeptical of the terms "significant" "substantial" and "noticeable" when referring to upgrades promising more horsepower and torque. for that kind of money they should. also, for the amount of time and research they report investing in this item's R&D they should have all the variables possible for other mods and the data associated with every combo as well. heck, for that matter, they should offer a trial to see if you like it if they're that confident. just sounds like good business sense to do that. maybe that's just me.

i agree with you marine8551. you never hear about this mod on any 550's and there isnt too much info out on it. Makes me nervous.
on another note though how do u like the Dinan Throttle body? i have the AFE throttle body spacer and was thinking of adding the Dinan throttle body and then maybe the Dinan stage 3 engine software... what do u think of there software? you have all the bolt on for it, have you thought about getting it?

LOL, welcome to the BMW world. The tune for my old 530 was around $400, the tune for my 550? Dinan = $1000, ESS = $1000, and this one is the "cheap" one at $798

pjinca your right, i would love to hear from someone that has actually used one of the 3 tunes and what they thought of it.

I would bet you good money that they are all about the same, they all give about 10-15 HP, slightly better throttle response, and slightly better fuel economy. There is just so much you can extract from an NA engine from a tune. To get real power you need forced induction
