Seriously though, the tape was placed incorrectly on the spoiler. There is a recessed area on the underside of the spoiler, tape should be placed there only, not on the raised under section. You're spoiler needs to be removed and reinstalled properly and it will look just fine.

You don't have to screw it on, like I said I did mine with (thankfully) black 3M tape and GOOP, I did as DRANGED suggested and used the tape in the groove provided and the GOOP placed strategically. Result - no gap, have the body shop redo it.

Scott, the recessed area on the underside of the spoiler is meant to mate up to this area I pinpointed on the trunklid. If you use tape outside this area, it is visible. They may need to use two layers of tape on the recessed area to take up up the recessed gap as well. I would explain this to whoever installed the spoiler and have them redo it. That is just piss poor workmanship.
