ACS Roof Spoiler

ok guys so I tried twice already using 3M double sided tape and it's NOT sticking properly! I used a hair dryer but still in many spots it's getting loose. What to do? What do you guys use as I see many members have these????????

Wait what, you used a hair dryer? Warm air dulls the adhesive not helps it lol. Depending where you bought your roof spoiler I wouldn't use the 3M tape provided by the seller, usually its garbage. Go to home depot or lowe's and pick up the real 3M tape.

I used a hair dryer because the 3M tape sticked on to the window and unglued from the spoiler instead in some spots. But that was on my first attempt. Today I didn't even use a hair dryer and still dud not work. And yes I got the good 3m tape. About silicone I'm not sure if that's a good way.

Well with silicone you will never be able to remove it if you do the whole wing and I would never recommend doing it all the way across.
Just put a couple 3-4 spots with the soft stuff, not the expensive high tech stuff. Hold it in place with tape until it is dry
When it comes time to remove use a wire under the wing and pulled thru the silicone.
Then use a razor on the glass to scrape it off with no damage to the glass.
I have not tried it myself but plan to once I get one.

I am planning on installing a roof and trunk spoiler this week, I'm looking for recommendations as well, I'll take it off probably down the road and don't want damage to the paint.

Not sure how silicone would react on a painted surface though. I think there was a post this week about someone removing their wing off of the trunk with silicone as a adhesive.

I used to use this cheap stuff that should work, it came in a cheese wiz type can, for glass.
