My Ride: BMW 520i, March 2004, Silver Grey, 68000 Miles, PDC, DIY iPod Setup with remote control, GLOVE BOX TORCH- YES!
It might only be a 520i, but you've got to start somewhere! It's my first decent ride, and I'm still only 22. And unlike some this ain't Daddy's - it's all mine!

I've had to give in and admit to myself that there's no way I can afford the M sport front bumper from Quad M
I was always weary of the ACS bumper but after seeing Providenceleaf's in my colour, I'm kinda half sold on it.
I can't find out much on it though, or anything that looks reputable. Anyone here who has one care to let me know where they picked it up/ ordered it from? Looking for a UK source but depending on the price I could get it shipped. I'm also wondering just what is involved in the fitting/removal of it.
(Plus, still needing a new 6 speed manual titanium trim gear shift)
Cheer.
Dave

Check out this link for options of Original or replica ACS kits. Fitting it just called for 3M tape and a few rivets. GL Dave!

original acs front lip is expensive.
I had mine painted and installed at ACS headquarters in Germany - set me back 700euros 3 years ago.

If so, you can have mine for cheap. It has a couple knicks/scratches on it, which you can see in the pic. I replaced it with a carbon fiber/chrome knob, so it is just sitting in a box.

I have also noticed that some of the replicas are made from polyurethane and some are made of ABS plastic. The Poly makers say in their ads "not made of cheap ABS plastic," while the ABS people tout the fact that it is made of ABS.
Does anyone know which is better?
anyone know what the actual ACS one is made from?

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Well i'm not sure what material the ACS one is made of, but I do know that ABS plastic lips are usually much harder and don't have as much "give" in them as the polyurethanes do. But looks wise, they're the same.
Watch out for those generic ones on eBay though, lots of times they won't come with necessary hardware or could be misaligned when you try to put it on your car.
And what's up everyone, i'm new here.
