My Ride: 545i SMG with Limited Slip Differential

Hi men!

With a pair of friends we was thinking to go by car in UK .. A little over 1000 kms, doable .

But the problem is : can we drive there, with our (left drive) cars ?

I have thought to mount a camera fixed under the right mirror, to overtake other cars safely (I can't trust in a friend seated on the right)

Question : with ACM module is it possible to see images for a long time ? Is there a button near the DTC button, like for PDC, to activate images from camera ?

Thank you, bye!

PS :
Am I crazy ?

You can let your friend drive the car and you (seated on the passenger's side) can tell him safely what to do
No, not at all
My friend is waiting for an ML420cdi with TV etc in the rear, we can wait for it, so in the case of a wrong overtaking ... :-PPPP

You worry too much.

I constantly drive with my rhd car through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

Apart from entering a multi storey car park or using a McDrive McDonalds, there are no really bad problems at all.
A little bid of extra care and you'll be fine

It would be, just make sure it's strong enough, or covered enough to not get damaged by stone chips.

The idea is good, but what about bad weather with rain spray or in the winter the wet/dirt/salt mix ?

Still like the idea

If it's raining, every time you stop the car you have to check the camera

Yet, the idea is great, but somebody who already has the ACM with a camera must answer the question : with ACM module is it possible to see images for a long time ? Is there a button near the DTC button, like for PDC, to activate images from camera, at least for 10-15-30 seconds ?
