I'm considering the addition of ACS Springs on my 545i/Sport. I wanted to fill the wheel wells a bit more and after talking with my tuner, he suggested lowering rather than changing the wheels to get the desired effect. Anyone have comments or horror stories? Thanks!!!

Well I have the H&R springs I got a pretty good drop.. the ACS are alot more expensive.. but I think they get a little lower.. but personally I would get a set of wheels if thats what you looking for.. you will need more wheel to get the look you want with the wheel wells being fill.. 19" or 20" would be awsome.. an 18" you still will have some room so.. I would get some wheels.. this is a pic of saurabh's car hes got 20" wheels with sport suspension still has some space but sits well

I have 19s on right now. The car is not a sport package. I'm tempted to drop the car, but decided against it. If I had to do it over again I think I would go with 20s to fill in the wheel well. Plus with the E60 being a big car and all, I think minimum 19s would look proportional. I don't know what the effects will be for 20s and lowered, I suppose with the right set-up it should still be alright. In my opinion 18s would look too small
