So... got the ACS exhaust installed today... it attaches after the resonators.... Overall I'm a little disappointed with how quiet it is. It's noticeable at idle, but doesn't really show any significant difference in tone during acceleration or cruising speeds. Even with the windows down it doesn't appear to have much more tone than a stock exhaust for a 530i. Figured it would scream a little more I guess. Any reccommendations on how to liven it up a little? Are removing the resonators my only route? And how loud will it be once I remove them? I'm not trying to wake up the neighbors I'm just trying to make my car a bit more pronounced.

Remove the center resonator, it won't be loud. The ACS exhaust is made by Remus.

Also...wait a little bit so the packing inside the muffler breaks in.

Sigh. You should have left the resonators OFF! The car sounded so mean with the x-pipe.

Ah that's what I figured... They want $150 to remove the resonator.. doesn't that sound high?

Yea no kidding. I thought that was ridiculous. I'll go somewhere else. Exhaust shop guy said it would be so high b/c he'd have to put a y pipe in since it goes from 2 pipes before the resonator down to 1 after...

Wanna trade for my BB? I'm sure you won't think it's quiet even with my additional resonator
