Comparison with M5, that has LSD (thus do rings and smoke is simpler than without) :

Haven't got the chance to see the vid clip...how do you know the 645 is pumping 550 horses? Is it equipped a manual or auto tranny?

Super! And it has to pump way over the standard by the look of torque melting the inner tire. I find it possible too. Too bad for the lack of lsd. I would still go for the m5 though. Look how nice he can flick the car because of that lsd, and the v10 sound is just to die for. Hell even i miss the lsd alot but with 550bhp and WAY more torque than the m5...it must really hurt.

Nice clip though!

Yes, the lack of LSD is a problem ... But bimmerworld.com told me that, in their opinion, is possible to install a Quaife into our differential, for $2100 ... But how would react the DSC ?

For M5-545i-supercharged : the 545i SCed have a superbetter consumption than M5, more performance .. And costs only a few $K ...
And you don't need to change car ...

BTW .. 545i weights 150 Kg less than M5!! When you drive the M you feel the diffence of weight ..

I agree with you although sticking a supercharger or turbocharger whatever will not enlighten the car. Those kits are quite heavy. None the less probably it will be lighter than the m5 but not by alot. The difference would be probably as you feel it when the tank is full and when it's empty (aka 60kilos or so)

Regarding the lsd it's too much for me to think since indeed the DSC might not work in tandem with the differential properly. And yes it will have a better consumption but not by much. A 645i eats in town from 18 to 25 liters and adding forced induction will raise the consumption since everytime the turbo/charger is spooled up then more air will enter and thus more fuel has to be burnt. So v8 turboed vs v10 (neither is a diesel in consumption...and from this point of view i'm 100% indiferent).

You make a strong point that you don't need to swap cars but if you think what's the price of the mods: supercharger kit + lsd+ exhaust and other tweaks you find yourself awfully close to the m5. And for me the only benefit would be the rarity of the thing compared to the m5.

I think SC kit DOESNT weights 100 kg ...

On highway I do 9 kml, 8 when I drive fast, 10 when I am quite .
In Switzerland, @125 kmh of speedometer, 11 kml .

M5 does 6 where I do 9 .

I guess with SC kit I would do 7.5 where the M5 does 6 .

That *20k km/year is good .
But more important is the autonomy : 6*70 lt vs 7.5*70lt .

Only SC kit will be about ?5k ... Exhaust is not necessary .
LSD neither, if you don't live in mountain with hard bends on the way ..

Benefits : better consumption, not swap, less weight, more performance, more and more torque!
