hi all...
i have a concern, because i might be ordering my ACS5 stuff for my 5er (including some lowering springs), so it raises a conern about dynamic drive VS the lower spring...
does anyone of you know if the lowering will cause any bad effects onthe dynamic drive?\\
thanks
yama

Does dynamic drive = active steering and anti roll stabilization?
I know of one member on here who has the sports package and changed to aftermarket springs with no ill effects.

Dynamic Drive is BMW's name for the Anti-Roll-Stabilization, ARS!
Active steering (AS) is something different!

To my understanding, in the US spec E60 Dynamic drive and Active steering comes in package, you can only either have both or none.
Dynamic drive is the adjusment of anti-roll bar in response to the amount of body roll. And active steering is just variable steering ratio in different speed.
Please correct me if I am wrong

Also, I've heard from some local tuners saying e60 w/ aftermarket springs will definitely do no harm to the Dynamic drive, but they are not sure about the coilover as not much e60 on the road had done the full suspension kit....
