Yeah, hehe. The exhaust sort of removed whatever luxury there was left in the car.

Ordered a couple pulleys this evening. A 3.0" pulley and a 3.1" pulley. Hopefully we can hit the rated boost of 6.5-7PSI without having to go any smaller. This is what a 3.1" pulley looks like. Should be here before Tuesday:

550i Project Journal-3.2.jpg

The 3.1" pulley should work with the existing belt (K060888 - 13/16" x 89 1/2" OC). Since we'll probably end up running the 3.0" pulley, ended up nabbing one of these belts at the local auto shop since it's a tad shorter:

550i Project Journal-shorterbelt.jpg

It's a K060885, a 13/16" x 89 1/8" OC. 3/8" shorter than the belt used with the 3.2"/3.1" pulley.

So here is a recap:

3.2" pulley - K060888 (13/16" x 89 1/2" OC)
3.1" pulley - K060888 (13/16" x 89 1/2" OC)
3.0" pulley - K060885 (13/16" x 89 1/8" OC)

The belts and pulleys are all 6 rib.

I've heard the magnaflows before, but that sounds waaaaaaay better. Holy shit. Beautiful. The V8 Aston Martin just shit its pants. Is there anything else done to the exhaust other than catback magnaflows?

We removed the OEM exhaust manifolds and put SuperSprint headers in there. Here is a photo taken that shows the difference between the OEM manifolds and the SuperSprint headers:

The car simply sounded angrier after installing the headers...and it performed better too. Highly recommend installing headers on the V8.

You're right though. The magnaflows sound entirely different without the headers. The headers change the sound of the exhaust entirely.

Please post dyno results. Belt lengths look wrong. Assuming a typo.

Can't wait to see the new results. Bet the car will be really quick and neck snapping compared to stock.

Hehe, it looks like your headers removed the cats. That'd help, I guess. Seriously, I want to hear that car in person. Msg me if you ever drive to the SF bay area.
