My Ride: 2006 550i Sport Package, Cold Weather Package, Premium Sound Package, Comfort Access, Xenon Headlights, Adaptive Headlight Control, Navigation System, Steptronic Transmission. Silver Gray Metallic with Gray Leather. Added Red rear reflectors. Swapped stock Style 124 wheels and Bridgestone run-flat tires for BMW Style 125 5-Double Spoke wheels, 8" x 19" front, 9.5" x 19" rear with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, 245/40YR-19 front and 275/30YR-19 rear.

Here are photos of my 2006 550i with new wheels and tires installed yesterday. The wheels are BMW Style 125 for E60
Front - 8" x 19" ET: 20 BMW P/N 36-11-6-761-998
Rear - 9.5" x 19" ET:32 BMW P/N 36-11-6-761-999
These wheels are made for BMW by Borbet. The wheel/tire combinations save 12 pounds per wheel/tire at front and 9.5 pounds per wheel/tire at rear for a total savings of 43 pounds of unsprung weight. This is over OEM 8" x 18" front and 9" x 18" rear Style 124 wheels with Bridgestone run-flat tires.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 245/35 YR 19 Front & 275/30 YR 19 Rear.
The ride seems in the short distance I have ridden to be no worse than with 18" run-flats, and perhaps better.![550i with New Wheels & Tires-p1060012.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/13933d1482363732t-550i-new-wheels-tires-p1060012.jpg)

Hey, those M Parallel style wheels look excellent on the E60! ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
Do you have a photo of the entire profile? It would be neat to see the whole set-up and how it looks overall.
Thanks.

Did you get your new wheels/tires from the dealer?
What did it cost for the package, mounting, balancing, etc?
What is involved in the lowering of a car, and what are the benefits- just looks?

Thanks for the stats on weight differential; I've been wondering how much those ThumpFlats added for the "pleasure" of their company.
I had M knock-offs like those for my snows for 6 years on my E39, so I think they look a little dated on the newer model. I ditched mine as they were so badly pitted from winter use and bought new 17" wheels from Tire Rack that are pretty good copies, (but less broad spokes) of our standard 18" sport wheels.
Good luck with them; you don't know what you are missing on the thumpflats...or do you?
Cheers,
Ray Hull

I had only 475 miles on the run-flats and the Style 124 wheels that were on my car when I purchased it new. Anyone interested in these, please PM me.
