It was not my intent to create controversy here. I just thought it would be useful to post some numbers as I have not seen anyone else post dyno results for a 550i. I am not comparing my car to any other car, be it a 650i, a 550 a 335d a 545, etc.

If you know anything about dynomometer testing at all, you will know that:

1. every car is different from the next, even identical models
2. every dyno machine is different from the next, even identical models
3. differing atmospheric conditions affect results
4. there is controversy over dyno testing in general

So, just take the info I posted as info relating to my 550i on one particular sunny, cool day on a specific dynojet machine at 60 feet above sea level. Also, my hair was parted on the left, I was wearings briefs, not boxers and I think I passed gas at redline.

Which way was the wind blowing when you passed the gas cause that could have positively or negatively charged the intake air temp. HAHAHA

297 is a great base number. its about what stock Camaro & Pontiac put down in their hayday. Gto's put about 342-360 but weigh 4,000. The tune or "remap" is what these cars need. The AF doesnt hit 13.3 until high are rpms which means they're protecting the motor by fattening it up. I'm pretty sure if the AF stayed in the 13.4 range all the way through numbers would be better. you wont have much power when your putting 6 and 7 speed autos behind a engine.
