I came accross this ad:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...465567233.html

This car not only is an LCI but I also has all upgrades/mods in my list to my current 05 530i (M5 tech kit, steering wheel, M5 wheels, nice interior trim), plus navigation and parking sensors. Not to mention I won't have to keep looking for something to increase power to my 530i.

Assuming I can sell mine for $25K maybe (it has 46K miles), I would need to put another $10K to get this one. What makes me hesitate is that it has more miles than mine with only 1K miles left on the warranty, plus a dealer is selling it, which suggests this is not a great deal for me. Am I wrong?

Trying to decide if the 2 hr trip is worthwile.

Or you could save your money and buy my 06 550 with an Mtech, M5 Trunk Finisher, other extras AND a BMW CPO Warranty till 11/27/11 or 100K miles.

Reserve is at $29000, buy it now of $29750

Stay away from dealers that ARE NOT BMW dealers. I'd get DRANGED (John's) 550 instead. At least you know it's taken care of (yes John I am still working on my friend for you)

Ok well I did buy my car (in cash) from one of these dealers, and they did take their time to register the car but I was not concerned about these legal issues because I had the bill of sale and the cashed check.
True, they're not the nicest people to deal with (after you buy the car). They had lost the car key so they had to order a spare key from the dealer (all legal). The thing is that they ordered 2 keys, but the day I went to buy it and pay for it they gave me only one (i didnt know they had two).

A week after that I went to another location of the same dealer to have a couple of dings taken care of and I find out they had another key. When I asked for it they wanted to sell it to me for $100! Of course I said no, I would prefer to pay more at the BMW dealer than paying these scumbags for it. They finally gave it to me for $30 as after all, it was in my best interest, But can you believe that?

But all in all the car ended up being in good condition with no issues whatsoever, and that's what really matters, so if you can save a few thousands by buying from these scumbags then I'd eat that frog and save the money for future mods....
