Im in full blown mode of improving my 545i right now.
I have the Premium package & steptronics.

Id like to juice the performance on my ride & would like your suggestions.
Im talking HP, Responsiveness & Torque.
Dont want to pursue exasts or pullies.

What Id like to do is get a "zippier" experience for the car, but have it live ONLY in sport mode.

So when I drive the kids & wife I can be in normal cruise mode.

& when I want to jam, I drop into Sport mode, & it gives me greater responsiveness & performance.

Is such a solution out there?

I guess you're not satisfied with simply putting the Steptronic in M/S mode (shifter to the left)? I only say this because a friend with a 335i was complaining about the zippiness of their ride, and I asked if they ever used M/S mode of the Steptronic. They hadn't and were immediately impressed with the difference. Other than that, I'm not aware of any "mods" available to give the 545i a true switchable "sport" mode. Maybe a Sprint Booster with an on/off switch? This just makes the throttle more sensitive than normal mode so it "feels" more peppy for the same amount of pedal input.

Good luck, there is nothing out there worth while other than a super charger, but that isn't going to give you the switchable control you are looking for.

Thanks for the tips.
After researching I think the sprint booster may be perfect and not too expensive.
I would like it to be more responsive and also able to turn it off (which u can with these).

Anyone install this and have experience good or bad?

Dinan stage 1 is good for starters, then you can explore stage 2 and 3 for even better performance.

I went ahead and bought the Sprint Booster last night.
Cant wait for it to show up. I really like the new button layout so I can go green, red or off.

About Dinan:
I checked it out & it looks pretty cool.
Anyone have experience with this? Is it worth it (only 8hp increase, but I know thats not the real improvement youre getting here).
Is it repeating what Ive already done w/ the Booster or would having both be worth it?

Dinan gives actual performance improvement, even if its small, while the booster steps on the gas harder for you. Its your money but I think most people think Dinan is over rated for the gains. Its good the car is new or you have a factory warranty. That said if I had the cash to blow I would be rocking a Dinan 5 badge by now.

Do you actually feel the difference between dinan stage 1 and the stock.
