Yes it's absolutely baffling why no-one has mass marketed a 'reasonably' priced header for the V8's. I'm sure that many owners would stretch up to $2k (my guess) and they could make up for the R&D costs in volume.

Another mystery....why no underdrive pulleys for non-M5's??

I'm sure these can be made for less then 1k it's not like they are making a top mount turbo manifold for these.
