545 Quad Exhaust installed
So I finally got my car back from the bodyshop with the M5 rear bumper installed. Took it over to Speedee muffler in San Jose and had them install the quad set up.
I used a Borla dual in/out 2.25 for center section
- two Vibrant Ultra-Quiet resonators at end of the pipes
- and finished it up with a pair of Nameless Performance Stainless Steel double wall 3.5" stagger tips.
I kept the stock front resonators so that it wouldn't be too loud. If anything, I can always remove those if I wanted to be louder.
Here are some pictures of the install, and progress, I will get the final pictures later after adjusting the tips. Currently the tips stick out a bit too far for my liking.
So this is still a work in progress.

a few more --
John and Kyle at Speedee Muffler were really cool, I told them up front that I wanted to take pictures of the install and they didn't have any problems with it. I know some shops do not allow customers to be in the work area for insurance purpose.
Kyle did the entire job from start to finish. I also got some Thermo-Tec self-adhesive wrap to cover up the battery box. Kyle knew exactly what to do and cut it to fit perfectly and wrapped the area up.
You're probably wondering why the driver side resonator is mounted sideways, I just thought it looked more uniform on both sides since the passenger side is very tight and not a lot of room to work it, hence the side way mounting.
Besides that, the exhaust is really low and does not sound like the annoying domestic V8's. It doesn't drone at all both street and freeway cruising. It sounds really tame and has a nice rumble to it from 1500-2500rpm. I still have to adjust the tips, so I'll take pictures then, and make a video sound clips once it's all done.
