I was wondering if there are any performance exhaust available for a 2008 535xi?

Have anyone tried a M5 exhaust? or maybe other model of N54s exhaust with the E60 535xi?

All I can find online are for 530i, 545, 550s....

I guess if I cant find anything, I will just cut the muffler out for straight pipe and leave the resonators.

Thanks for any inputs.

I have Dinan on mine and I like the sound. The hp increase was incedible, something like 5 .... Ha . It's more for sound and a little looks. I really couldn't tell any power diff..

I'm still trying to decide on an exhaust as well. The current players seem to be Dinan, B&B, Magnaflow and there is a group buy trying to get started for the RPI. The RPI has shown to make the most performance increase but I don't think that performance is worth the price tag. I'm currently leaning towards to the B&B.

@tonyb635 Did you ever get any audio/video clips of your Dinan?

No, but I can give it another try. When I put it on I made a recording from my iPhone but I must have been too close because it sounded very distorted. I'll play around this weekend and see if I can get a better one.

Thanks, I'd really like to hear a drive by audio clip. It's always hard to tell what it really sounds like when the microphone is really close to the exhaust tip.

Are you still happy with the Dinan? Does it drone at all?

I like it a lot. The sound is just right for me, not too loud and no droning. I would say it's more conservative than the other ones out there though.

I'm also interested in hearing some sound clips for any aftermarket 535i exhausts... I'm really tempted to try the universal magnaflow based on the looks, reviews, and price!

There are some video clips out there of the B&B, RPI and Dinan. I'd be interested in knowing what the 535 would sound like with just replacing the two mufflers with one Magnaflow. I think you should be the first and post clips when it's finished!
