I just got myself a set of rim and tires the specs are 245/35ZR19 93Y All around NON-Staggered. Rim size is 19x8.5 all around with an offset of 40.

I am about to buy the KW Coilcovers V3 next week. Before I do so, would I have any rubbing issue given the KW's drops the e60 an inch or so?



I am crossing my fingers the answer is no. I have been hearing great reviews about the KW V3.

You'll be great, no rubbing. However, you may want get 5mm spacers for a more flush look and lower a bit more than an inch. (Our XI's sit pretty high.) By the way, what rims did you get?

Excuse me for my ignorance, but what exactly are spacers? What or how will that help the look of the rim?

They'll push your wheels further out to be more flush with your fenders. It's a more aggressive look.

No problems at all. Like mentioned above, you should get 5mm spacers for the front and 20mm spacers for the rear to make the wheels sit flush with all 4 corners. But be prepared to wait a while for the V3's. I had to wait like 2 months after placing my order for them to be made and shipped from Germany.

Oh I like that! I think I will buy some spacers today. Would I need to do a realignment after I put on the spacers? Any vendors on here sell them? BTW Thank you both for your help.

with your offset and e60 being an xi with the kw v3 you will tuck. As a member stated get spacers to line it up to the fender. Your not gonna rub at all since you only have 245.35/19 i have a 545i and im run 245.40/19 and 285.35/19 and no rubbing at all! Even though the offsets of our cars are way different you DONT HAVE A CHANCE OF RUBBING.

Ive been looking for spacers all day

only ones i can find are from http://burgertuning.com/BMW_wheel_spacers.html

can i go with 10mm in front and 15mm in the rear? is 10mm too much in the front?

or should i just go with what you guys recommended 5mm in front and 20mm in rear?

Lots of our vendors sell spacers. As for the spacers for the front, I think the 5mm spacer might give you slight vibration, as I've read several complaints from some members in the past. Not very familiar with the XI offset but with RWD, you can definitely go with 20mm. Just use a ruler to measure how much more room you have to move the rims out then you can have a general idea on how thick your spacers should be but have to take in consideration the weight load when passengers are on board also.
