Last week I had my AR designs catless downpipes and the Evolution raceworks FMIC. Right after I left the shop I got on it once and the car sent the engine malfunction reduced power message to the idrive. I brought it back right away and the guy plugged the car into his laptop and told me that too much power in a short time and i have to let the ecu adapt to it. He also mentioned that if it keeps going off to adjust the tiny knob on the o2 sensor. I have had the car on the road everyday this last week and the engine malfunction message has stopped coming up in subburban driving but when im on the highway and get on it the message pops up and dosnt go away for quite a while. Fred from evolution raceworks suggested that something with the manifold not closing properly or the intercooler is not tightened properly. THE CODE ITS THROWING IS P30FF

also I do not have a charge pipe or blowoff valve at the moment thay should be here next week if that makes a difference or not.

Is it possible a vacuum line could have been damaged some where during the install?

I have a few questions..

Did you increase the amount of fuel/fuel pressure to the engine? If you did how is it measured?
Did you increase the amount of air getting to the turbos?
Have you done a boost leak test?
How much boost are you running?

Whenever you open the exhaust on a turbo car, the back pressure in the turbo changes, which can wreck havoc on the intake system of the car. Meaning it will suck in more air than the sensor can handle and would probably throw a code (although I have no idea what that code is) I do have significant experience in the turbo world. Could never afford a 535...

I love when people become partsthrowers, then when it doesn't fix the issue, then they complain how much money they've spent in repairs...

Diagnosing the issue first usually = less expense in the future.

Maybe there is a leak from one of the many joints not tightened properly. My buddy and I did the install for the ER FMIC and TiAL BOV and found that the most likely weak spot would be where the FMIC hooks into the pipe going into the throttle body on the right side of the car. You can either mention that to your mechanic or just jack up the car and look underneath to see if the right pipe is tightened correctly. In the instructions that come with the FMIC, it warns against tightening the clamps too much since it may cause some serious damage. But if it is too loose, it can definitely give you some boost leak.

If that's not the case, open the hood and check the connection between the throttle body itself and the connection pipe leading down to the FMIC on the passenger side of the car.

Those are probably the two most likely sites for the boost leak. Good luck!
