I've been lurking in the e90post.com forum for awhile now and i enjoy reading about the tuner wars for the N54 Twin Turbo engine upgrade mod. There are a few brands out there that show impressive results such as the Procede, Turbo Tuner, Juice Box, Dinan, and now i'm eagerly waiting for the Helix Attche to come out. I'd like to share a thread that I found with Dyno results for this product.

It's the most promising so far. If you like to read more about it, here's the thread:

Let me know what you guys think.

Seems like this forum is dead when it comes to this kind of topic. Sucks not being able to discuss this with fellow 535i owners.

I'm very interested...I just haven't done enough research to decide which product will work best for me and my warranty.

Which one are you leaning towards?

Well, from the threads that i've read about all these piggy backs, this is how i summarize them:

1) Dinan Flash - the best option if you want to have warranty from Dinan. On par with V2 (90% settings). Great rw torque. Most expensive though.
2) Procede V2 - the best results and tuning flexibility. For me, I care less. I don't drag race at the strip or track my car. Plus i don't want to deal with the hassle of adjusting settings or getting limps.
3) Juice Box 2 - Runner up for piggy backs. Great results especially on 93 octane w/ H pill which i can't make use here in L.A. (91 octane). Plug n play! No Limps!
4) Turbo Tuner - 3rd place for piggy backs. Good results but a little conservative compared to #1-3. Plug n play! More expensive than JB2 so i can't justify getting this for myself. TT2 in the works...
5) Helix Attache - LATEST piggyback. First round of custom tune installs will happen this weekend. I am eagerly waiting for the results. Although beta testers already posted positive feedbacks, i'd still wait and see if it is what it is. Check out the links above to see how great sounding this product seems. (cross fingers)

Let me know what you guys find out in comparison among all these tunes.

Agreed,
I am still on the side line since what I want is max power with 92 octane with no limp mode.
The only problem, my dealer is not Dinan authorized so will see if Helix will be more reliable as V2.
The other plus for Helix, I heard you don't need to by-pass the solenoid ala Procede.

+1

Don't forget the price range! I think $650-700 is the best bang for the buck considering what they are claiming for.

I am planning on going the Juice Box route most likely. I plan to run JB2H on 93 octane and then throwing a switch to JB2HR with 93 octane + water injection

Isn't the R switch recommended only for 100 octane users? H Pill is for 93 octane. This is why i can't do JB route because there's no 93 octane here in L.A. and i'm not loading up 100 octane either. I know i won't be satisfied with just JB2 by itself. I just want the max HP out of pump gas 91 which is by Helix so far.

How much difference does water injection make on our E60?
