Ziptuning.nl

Merk Bmw
Model 535d E60 272 PK ST2

Bijzonderheden
................Standaard...........Chiptuning
Vermogen....200 kW...............261 kW
...................272 pk................340 pk
Koppel.........560 Nm...............750 Nm
Topsnelheid..250 km/h............312 km/h

Prijs ? 1500.00 €

With 750nm of torque, the 100-200km/h time should be on pare with 350-450hp cars like E63 650's, E46 M3's, E39 M5, SLK/CLK's AMG, N/A Porsches...

I know that DMS has a stage 2 with 344hp. Can anyone talk about the the feeling of this St2 car on the road?
And what about against other petrol cars like the ones i said above?

I would very much doubt the 312 km/h

Mine is on 325hp and 640NM and I managed a few GPS timed runs a couple of weeks ago in Germany at just under 275 km/h.

I really can't believe another 15 horses will give an additional 37 km/h. The 100Nm will not play a big role in the terminal speed either.

You can actually blow the torque up to near 900NM and the hp to near 400, but that would result in a new car within a week, I'd say.

Don't forget the gearbox warranty from ZF, I think is 600NM. Add about 10 -15 percent safety tolerance, I wouldn't even think about crossing the 700 NM.

Wonder if the terminal speed, they claim is correct.

just looked on their website, for a lower state of tune (their standard) than I have, they already claim 300 km/h. No way

How many more rpm did it had for the redline at that speed?

Another claiming +300km/h: Carchiptuning

And this one: Wetterauer
Power........350hp
Torque.......660nm
Vmax.........272 km/h

312 Km/h ?

I think they have dropped it from an airplane then.

That's M5 territory, ask cidair about it...

Probably free fall terminal speed is lower than that...

At 312 km/h with stock transmission and M-sport wheels, the thing is doing 4480 rpm in 6th, so I guess it's theoretically possible, allowing for a launch pad from, oh, say Hamburg to Munich and ignoring some air resistance.

The other interesting question is 312 km/h for how long?

Or maybe their GPS was malfunctioning...

312 km/h on the 535d ????!!

Forget it ..... not possible without changing the gear box setup and other major stuff ....

They are selling high numbers ...

Nothing to do with the gearing; 312 km/h is a shade less than 4500 rpm in 6th using stock transmission and tyres, and 4500 rpm may be just about credible as a maximum power rpm for a modified 535d. What does not work is the physics:

Vmax = (2P / Cd*A*r) ^ (1/3)

where: Vmax = maximum theoretical speed, ignoring rolling resistance and assuming optimal gearing
P = car power (340 bhp = 253,300 W)
Cd = aerodynamic coefficient (0.3 - assumed)
A = car frontal area (assumed w * h = 1.846 * 1.468 = 2.71 m^2); this is an overestimation, as the true frontal area of the car is somewhat smaller, but it probably compensates to some extent the lack of rolling resistance factor.
r = air density (standard = 1.29 Kg/m^3)

replacing the values, we find Vmax = 78.46 m/s = 282.5 km/h

Or - put another way - you'd need to have the car pumping out 460 bhp to reach 312 km/h. As Iceman said, this is (E60) M5 territory (to save you the calc - Vmax with 500 bhp = 321.2 km/h or 199.6 mph!)

They are definitely peddling taurine excrements

BTW - Olli: if we put in 325 bhp, Vmax = 278.2 km/h
