Hi All...my brother and I want our 535D M SPORT AUTOS remapping by DMS...ASAP I contacted them via email and got a reply back from Mike Cooper saying they take the car to 340BHP and 530 lb/ft ,Mike said the upgrade is undetectable by BMW Service and Diagnostic equipment .My initial enquiry was for myself and Mike quoted ?850+VAT,and the work can be carried out at my location/home etc...

MY CAR HAS 90,000 MILES on a 54 plate(DEC 2004),AND MY BROTHERS IS ON A 56 PLATE WITH 22000 MILES.BOTH CARS HAVE BMW WARRANTY COVER.
I have emailed Mike with the following:


1.WHAT KIND OF COVER/INSURANCE WOULD YOU GIVE IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG?
2.MINE HAVING DONE 90,000 MILES,WOULD THIS BE RISKY?(EVEN THOUGH IT DRIVES LIKE A DREAM)
3.HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO HAVE BOTH CARS DONE AT OUR HOME?
4.WOULD YOU DO A DEAL ON TWO CARS BEING DONE?


I am still waiting for a reply from Mike..just thought if anyone had any views on the questions i`ve asked...any opinions/experiences welcome....

 

Oh well...might as well reply to my own thread... having both cars done this wednesday (6/08/08) around 2pm at my home.... spoke to Mike and cant wait for the Beast to have a different attitude...they are doing 4 in Yorkshire that day and then onto Lancashire it is .

JUST THINKING...HOW MANY HAVE YOU GUYS OUT THERE HAVE HAD THEIR RIDES REMAPPED,WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE YOUR CAR MODEL,STOCK BHP TO NEW BHP...HOPE THIS IS NOT A REPEAT THREAD....SORRY IF IT IS

 

Personally i think ?850 plus VAT is silly money for an off the shelf map. For that money it should be a custom map done on rollers. Or was that for both cars?

 

Hi Dandle...i agree with you,both cars for ?1500+VAT,but these guys have a good rep etc...also i`m not paying for my car ,other wise i would be having 2nd thoughts....

 

a bit pricey i say however a remap is a must - no ifs or buts, you,l also notice the mpg is better!

I did mine here in Norway at www.esstuning.com and the cost was around US $1100. The stock is 177 and they said that after the tuning
the BHP will be around 215 and with and increase of 70-80nm (from stock 400nm)

 

had my previous ride (545i) remapped by DMS. brilliant service, 100% reliable .. and 100% worth it. i think it's harsh to call it "off the shelf" .. they spend a long time perfecting the map on their own test mules, and then come to your address and download that program. many, many 535D's done in the UK. And you'll find lots of press about them and their remaps too. amazing results with Derv engines, not so on the petrol NA engines.

 

Good luck with the remap, let us know how different it "feels" once done.

Yeah let us know if its a good improvement. I may consider having it done. Also looked at Steinbauers P-Box, supplied by Rossiters in the UK. Does a similar thing with about the same power gains, but also about the same cost as the DMS
