Thanks Gene, fabricator said he would like to do one more at the shop and then maybe he'd ship them for those that would like one. Pricing is inline with what the 335 guys are doing but not ebay items. He dose custom manifolds for turboed e30's custom dp's for the s4 crowd really nice work

Sorry guys I been slacking.. On testing and dyno. I don't really like to do a lot of dyno runs kinda waiting on Cobb updates but that might be forever. I don't real think dyno is the best test for an intercooler. I need to do some back to back runs, stock vs custom.. Maybe next week...

ok guys ive done some testing stock vs. custom i/c. the test went like this. while i was in "mexico " i found a nice stretch of highway with ez on ez off ramps with three lanes. probably a mile apart. but when id get off the highway there were some lights usually about 3-5 min. to get back on.
with dtc totally off in sport mode id run it hard till 5 gear then coast off the highway. idid this 5 times for each i/c. first with the stock i/c then custom i/c when i started it was about 83 degrees and 86 when ended..
The bad news is i'm a terrible data logger. i did not know that the cobb ap only stored 10 logs. so some got pushed out. and b/c i ran up the back of a trucker i had to start over. a few times.
bottom line is on the 4th & 5th run with the stock i/c i saw intake temps as high as 162.
with the custom unit they got to 146. not huge difference but a difference none the less.
big thanks goes to member n54 5&3 for helping me along with my logging even thought i still effed it up. and laying out a test idea.. and reading some of my logs, i may have some logs to post but i'm not if i have the ones i need.
my conclusions are that the new i/c definitely lowers iat's as much as some of the 335 guys are getting probably not. I'm very happy with the build. currently the only 535 aftermarket i/c i've ever seen. Im pretty sure theres more room to make the next one deeper.
this may all be mute with the growing meth popularity..
