I was thinking this crazy idea of doing a dual exhaust set-up on my 525i, given the fact that it's obviously NOT for performance but for looks... Though I know it's a straight 6 and would make no sense at all to have a dual exhaust set up but I just wanted to hear some of your thoughts on this. I've seen people do it to their 530s which I believe are I-6 as well so would it be so wrong to perform this on a 525i?

Here are some of my pros and cons:

Pro: Looks bad ass

Cons: Loss of back pressure, poser mobile

Yay or Nay? Anyone else like to add to my list??!

It's your car, so go for it if you like it. I'd do it with my car ('05 525i) if it wasn't so expensive. Once you figure in the cost for the exhaust and bodywork/paint you're probably looking at a pretty expensive modification, even if it's only for looks.

Too expensive for you Mr. 525i/R1/Z4??? LOL

im kidding, yeah it would be expensive but I can get a deal on the rear bumper with paint and I also have a best friend who does fabrication work doing custom turbo set-ups for Porsches so im sure I can get this done at a reasonable price...

Im kinda concerned about the sound now that it has been brought to my attention.

Go for it it should be fine I dont think you'll hear much out of the exhaust it'll just look good and I dont think you plan on reving the engine at the stop light
