the 220bhp and 490nm increase is less than 25% increase. it is backed up by DMS warranty.

Thanks for the info! And you're right about the increase, I was using the base 163hp (here in Belgium) in stead of the original 177hp when calculating the numbers.

I see 530d but no 53i's. Does that mean it will only work on a diesel engine?

Yes this dose mean it only works on diesels.Have a lookHERE for tuning petrol engines. It's a UK web site but it will give you some idea what you can get for you car.It is much more expensive to tune petrol engines than diesel, you would properly pay two to three times the amount a diesel owner would pay for the same increase in power

525DTouring - Why don't you take a roadtrip to Belgium? I just verified the 205 hp upgrade and will consider doing it in the next few weeks. You can find more information about the company here: autotuneheinz. Please remember that they do not put a new chip in your car, they however reprogram the existing one. Labor will be something like 3 to 4 hours and you will get a certificate about the upgraded performance (measured by testing the car on a performance bench - I just hope this is the right word). Price would be 850 EUR excl. 21% VAT.

It is probably a silly question but why BMW doesn't sell their cars with that extra power and need to lunch the new 535d to achive that performance. I do like powerfull machines but I had to be counscious about what one have to pay for a car. And that part of me tells me it isn't probably a good idea to change the specs of the engine and have problems later on.
