-looking for advice on how to upgrade my poor sounding audio--------------------------------------------------------------------
read lots of posts on this but they all involve getting into amp in the boot,which i dont have.

car is 2007 m sport 525d (new model)
bluetooth but no nav.
no amp in the boot
2 4" speakers in the front doors.
2 4" speakers in the rear.
2 subs under the front seats.
budget £500 ish.

Ok, with that budget you would be able to purchase a full speaker kit from Bavarian Soundwerks.

Reviews say the speakers are pretty good quality speakers (compared to their price), but they would definitely sound yet better with an external amplifier. However, I believe this is the case with ANY speaker, but maybe you could pull the trigger for this and consider it as a first step maybe.
