You can get BurgerTuning's BMS PowerBox. Says you can get a bit of a performance boost (5-8 HP?), but that's hardly noticeable. It does remap your throttle, which does make driving more enjoyable. Expect to use more gas though 
Another possible (but less done) mod is retrofitting the three-stage intake manifold from a 530i + custom tune. That'll give you significant results (from what I've read in a few threads), but it is a mod you'll have to plan out.

DEFINETELY interested in the 530 mod! Do you have more info? Is there a link u can share? Expensive?
