I really do not recommend running anything above a 35w for a halogen based bulb in the angel eyes. The 50w will burn hotter and can melt the housing due to the excessive heat. For an HID kit, you can run 35w without any issues as HIDs emit less temperature than a standard halogen.

I have the GP Thunder 35w 7500k H8 bulb and are ok but could have Johns HID which are the best DIY so far.
I dont thing these is a very bright H8 bulb out on the market.
As for the 55w I would not install this because it will in the end melt the Light and the front light cost a arm and a leg.
I would stick to 35w
The 35w HID should not melt the light because it is not any hotter than the stock.
John please explain if it melts or not.

U run a risk of melting if 55W halogen bulbs are used. The angel eye rings and housing is NOT designed for 55W at all. HIDs at 35W in fact produces less heat than the factory 35W halogen bulb so it is safe to use. pinguhk is definitely correct.

another option might be is to use the 35w halogen bulb, but increase the voltage to the bulb via coding to increase the brightness a bit....there are reports here and on e90posts with good results via coding...
