503H (501 style) wedge bulb 12v 10w HALOGEN
#12
These LEDs operate at minimal amperage levels and are specifically intended to ultimately replace 5 to 7 watt incandescent and Xenon festoons altogether. Because they do not require DC inverters, and because they replace larger transformers and dimmers with much smaller equivalents, new LED bulb replacements constitute a synthesis of high intensity lighting and low profile design.

Yes, i´ve been working on the project yesterday (very busy at work)
It´s looking very promising, had one of the headligth out to see how much room there where, and there was a lot.
I dont even think a need a large heatsink, the LED is not driven very hard så the heat i minimal.
In the normal xenon angel eyes the light from the bulb have to travel a long distance to get to the halo, with this mod the LED
is shining directly at the halo tupes.
I have not seen any E60 with Orions around my area but I would compare the light output to something in the range of the F10´s angel eyes. or mayby 70-80%
But it´s it way better than any ebay LEDs i tried (and i tried a lot) the LED is simply not close enouch to the rings.
Here are two shots
1. LED in outer halo, its very bright and very white, I can´t capture it properly with my camera andthe headlight is dirty.
2. The inside of the headlight, the LED will be sitting about 5mm from the light rod.
