I know most people prefer the 3.5" tips for a m5 rear bumper. Would 4" tips be too big?

I currently have 3" tips.

ImSort0fABigDeal has 4" tips I believe. Sometimes they look too big, sometimes they look just right. I think it's dependent on the style of tips your get (staggered, angle-cut, etc.). But 90mm/3.5" is generally the perfect size for an M5 bumper/Hamann diffuser.

I thought you already got new tips @ Valley Muffler?

Yeah, I just went to go take a look at some Magnaflow tips that were 4" round. Way too big for my taste. I think I'm going to stick to 3.5" tips. I'd like to get the Eisenmann oval tips, but even the reps cost 700 installed.

I went to Valley muffler, but they said they didn't have any and couldn't do anything about the setup.

And...my quest to find tips continues.......

That's pretty big. So the width across 2 tips is at least 8 inches..... and we're talking a real measurement, not what I claim is 8" to my wife.....

I think AAA has Eisenmann for $700 installed.

Also, EVS motors in Texas sells Eisenmann reps for $450 shipped. It looks nice. They're a custom shop.

I called EVS today and he (Ted) said that they have sold all their tips after showing that M6 pic on the forum. He expects to have more made by next week.

I looked at the Magnaflow Exhaust with 4" tips and thought they were too much. I went with this Magnaflow instead. The tips are 3". Now the picture doesn't look the same from the lip to the inside, but it's identical looking in person to that Eisenmann posted above by alpinewhite. It's a straight edged round tip and looks as though it gets tighter the farther back you go into the pipe, just like the Eisenmann does as you look at the inside of the pipe and go further in. Basically, the diameter of the pipe inside, gets tighter the further back you go. They also make this exhaust with 3.5" tips. I believe that model number is 14816. The picture below is model#: 14815.

If I could fit that magnaflow exhaust on both sides, I'd do it. Unfortunately, I can't.

EVS number: 832-667-7256 Might be possible to get a group buy going. Site

The 4" magnaflow tips looked ridiculously big. I think 3.5" is going to by max.

I wish there were some cheaper way to fabricate oval exhausts. I'll keep on looking.
