Curious to know if anyone's done it, and what the result was. Mine is scuffed, has some dings that are stating to pull aay, and generally is looking like crap. Would rather deal with ding repairs than it looking like crap. On top of that it was installed later, by the previous owner and was installed over a few chips.

Just curious if i can pull it off, and if it will leave a residue etc.

I have no personal experience with 3M film, but Goo Gone should take off any residue.

 

And it won't damage the paint? My car's only a year old and it's got a white scuff mark which I'm sure was from scraping the side of the garage and it won't come off. Got about half an inch of peeling and it looks like the scuff might be on the bumper which the GS27 can't fix.

You can get some 3M Adhesive Remover from an autoparts store, this is safe for paintwork & clearcoat. Just make sure to rewax the area that is treated

 

I removed my 3M Guard before I brought it in and had it replaced. Best way is to let your car sit out in direct sunlight for a couple hours until the film and paint have a chance to heat up, then peel it off. The sun works like a heat gun in aiding removal. Comes off very easily, does not harm the paint, leaves little to no residue. As stated in a previous post, I would get some 3M adhesive remover from an auto parts store for any residual adhesive.
