First off my name is Adam and I've been a lurker for a couple years. Learned a lot from reading everybody's posts but even after searching and reading this tread ( 20" Wheels ) I cannot find a definite answer to my question.

Question: Will this setup work on my FIVE?

Here is my setup:
2010 535i Sport Pkg.

Wanted: Vossen VVS-CV1

Proposed Front
Wheel = 20x9
BS = 20mm
Tire = 245/30/20 Nitto Invo

Proposed Rear
Wheel = 20x10.5
BS = 27mm
Tire = 295/25/20 Nitto Invo

Thanks everybody. I hope to learn enough to provide some useful info in the future.

Yes, they'll fit. They are in fact the recommended 20 inch rear tire sizes for our cars. That said, I wouldn't want to roll on 25 series tires - wheels cost a lot to repair. That's why my rears are 275/30/20 instead, more meat on em.

what John said, if im correct 25 will be like rolling on rubber bands, which is fine if you like thin thin rubber and have zero potholes.. I wouldnt get them personally. Keeping 30's on my wheels is hard enough and although I have never bent a wheel from it, I have caused bubbles in the tires and even flats...

Good Luck though

They do indeed fit. Like others said, you must be cautious for potholes but I doubt you will have many problems. I have 11 inch rears with 295's and they work great.

Thanks guys. Here is a link to the Nitto website and their dimensions ( Nitto ) this may help others as well.

According to their website:
275/30/20 = 26.50" height
295/25/20 = 25.79" height

This tells me that the 295/25/20 has 0.355" less sidewall than the 275/30/20. I'm not sure if the 25 series tire will be that much different than the 30 series but I will let you know once I get them.

Thanks again for reassuring me about the fitment.

That what I recently have right now 285/30/20 in the back lowered on H&R sport and they are perfect with no fender mods. Can imagine 25's in the back.

I'm running 295/25/20's on the rear of my 545. No issues whatsoever. They ride just fine, but you definitely need to what for any potholes or such, as there isn't much tire to protect from bending the rim.
