Hey there,
I've tried the search function, but I couldn't get a clear answer.
Anyways, since the roads here in Estonia became very bad, I would like to increase tire sizes on my ride. Currently I have a standard 245 x 35 x 19 front and 275 x 30 x 19 rear OEM set sitting on my BBS CH wheels (19 x 8,5 and 19 x 10)
I would like to fit the following tires:
245 x 40 x 19 in front
275 (or 285) x 35 x 19 in rear
I think the rear should be fine, but the main problem is the front. Has anybody tried? Btw I have -30mm/-30 lowering via Weitec springs.
Thanks in advance!

Well, the overall diameter of the 245/40 R19 tire is almost the same as 245/35 R20, which is a commonly used size with the 20" wheels (among the forum members). They are both "oversized", and the fitting depends very much of the lowering, wheel widths & offsets. I am going to use a 235/35 R20 in front with my new 20" wheels this summer. I got my fenders rolled just to be sure.

den i was looking to go up one profile size with my next set of tires too. a lil extra meat will defitnaly soften the ride. plus in my case with245 30 20 and 285 25 20 the super low profile doesnt even look very good. i was going to go to 245 35 285 30. if it rubs then id lift the coilover a mm or two

That is what I will be doing this summer, this is the size for the f10's, I got a good deal on a set off a f10 . I don't think it will be an issue.

If you ask me what I would do to tweak it,
I would do 235/40/19 in the front
&
do 275/35/10 in the rear
-- Ask me why ?
Because even if I were to drop my car by an inch, there would be no chance of rubbing in the front (Me having a Non-M5 fender)
Now if the fender would not have been an issue in the front (Me having an M5 fender in the front)
I would run - 245/40/19 and safely drop my car
As for the rear (If I would not have had the M6 offset) I would have run
285/35/19 with no doubt
Hope that makes a little sense

yeah x2 on what racerboss said. Although I currently am running a 245/40/19 I do think I could get rid of my big dip, aggressive speed "chirp" by running a 235 or 225 /40/19 but I havent been able to find that size in my matching potenza RFTs for a good price so Ill just stick with my setup for now.
