One thing I always do not like is the wider gap between the rear fender and the tire compared to the front. I have no interest in lowering it or putting money into a suspension as I am picking up an m3 soon so my 07 530 will be more of a lux cruiser but still would like it to look great.

The m3 has 245/35/19s with 265/35/19 (8.5 F and 9.5R wheel size)-this is the exact same wheel size I have.

Right now I have 285/30/19 rear and they are equal in sidewall height to the front but the m3's look awesome with a little bit beefier tire in the rear.

26.3 overall diameter is with the 265/35
25.8 is the 245/35

So 0.5 inch overall difference it would be.

My question is the m3 tuned for this-or is this just an acceptable amount of difference between a non-xi front and rear difference in diameter?
25.8

Hey, have you gone with this setup? I'm considering of switching out my 275/30 to the 265/35.
If anybody who got this setup could share some pics that would be great.

I'm using this setup but the rear wheel is an 9j rather than a 9.5J

im running 35 in the front and 30's in the rear.. it doesnt make a big diffrence but for some reason people have told me why my rear rim looks smaller ... and it does a bit but its due to the fact that i have 30's n the rear..(265/30/19)

yea I prefer the slightly thicker rear instead of the thinner rear, especially with the rear fender arch being bigger than our front. Thinner tires in the rear will make the wheels look smaller in the rear than the front.

I found some pics of an M3 with 245/35 and 265/35, I think it looks sweet and well balanced.
I'm just curious how it would look on an e60 if anybody got them.
