So, I have the option of getting a pair of decent free 235/55/17 tires from a family friend and am not sure if they will fit if mounted. Right now I have stock 17" 225/50/r17 tires on stock rims.

Any thoughts anyone?

Kinda odd size but go to http://www.1010tires...eCalculator.asp to see if the size is off.
AFAIK, for better snow traction you might wanna avoid using wider size... compare you stock w/ the free tire you gettin' w/ 215/55/17.

GL!

Thanks man. Yah, I was just gonna take the tires and see if I can use them for what they are worth. Saw a bunch of threads talking about 235/45 tires and another bunch about 225/55 tires, but didnt see anything about 235/55. Hopefully there will be no rubbing,
