One of my taillight is not working. I opened the back, found the brown wire and the connector were melted. Luckily my car is still under warranty. This is the second time that is happening. The first time I took it to get it replaced at BMW. They told me is a common issue but they are not sure why. This is getting a little annoying because every time this happening, I have to take out the hids angel eyes and fogs before taking it to BMW. I Dont think the hids aes and fogs has to do with it but i might be wrong. So is anybody on here knows why? Please advise. Thank you

You don't need to take them out man. It's not like it's your headlights that are having issues.

FYI mods will not void your warranty. The only way your warranty will be voided is if it can be proven that your modifications caused the issue.

I think he's concerned the dealership may say the hid lights have placed a strain on the electrical system which is causing the problem.

One time, yes you are correct that is my concerning. And also, I would like to know what causes the brown wire and the connector melt.
