2009 fogs are not H8's!

My Ride: 2009 535xi Platinum Gray. M sport, Premium, Cold, Logic, PDC, Sirius, and Bamboo.
I just went to install my H8 HID fog kit today. When I final got inside the bumper and pulled down the bulb, I found a 55W 9006 bulb inistead of a 35W H8!
Is this old news? Don't the 2008's have H8's?
