The diesels often don't get the respect they deserve, because they have trouble competing in 1/4 mile times. However, it's funny seeing how many threads there are around on other forums about folks with 1/4 mile burners being embarassed by the 335d/535d in rolling starts! It's no surprise when you look at the torque numbers you are throwing down! Power may not be immediate, but I can only imagine how much fun it is when it does kick in! Great thread, and my hats off to the diesel tuners!

My car is non-lci so it has the ZF 6HP26. So far the gearbox is handling fine with the 625lb/ft. I found a guy that claim to have 715lb/ft in his 535d with the same gearbox without any problems.
I also found another guy that retrofit a 6HP28 in his 535d. He said that is actually quite easy and that these gearboxes can be found used in germany under €1000. He said that the gear changes improved alot.
Video is coming soon. In the meanwhile i found a cool pic of my car at the dyno:

The guy with 970nm has the 6HP26 original and he said that is holding fine...
In the worst scenario, with too much torque you will have the gearbox slipping gears. I would be more worried with the engine explosion than with gearbox.

If you are asking about intercooler hoses, it doesn't have rubber or silicone hoses. Instead, it has inox pipes with silicone connections. But you can see all the mods in my garage of this forum. Go with the link below my avatar.
