Ok I drive a 2004 530i. I want to upgrade the audio but what I didnt know is you cant really do crap to it or else it will affect the iDrive. The thing is I want my car to be able to play MP3's. Tired of having all these cds. What are some options I can go with. I know one is the ipod adapter. Any other ones?

For starters, you can add tweaters to the front speakers. That's if you have the non-L7 setup. Have a peep into the mesh beside the side mirrors and see if its empty.

That will add clarity.

The Head unit comes with an internal amplifier that drives the 4 x 4inch speakers.

I changed all the 4 inches speakers too.

I am also thinking of swapping out the woofers under the seats.

Lastly I have an amp driving 2 x 12inches in the boot. see picture.
