New to the forum and had my 530i less than a year but one thing that had always bugged me is the yellowish angel eyes. I have read the forum but i am unsure of what LCI is or how to tell if i have that. To my knowledge I have a 2004 530i with adaptive and xenon with the yellowish angel eyes. Looking for a simple DIY way to upgrade to the white angel eyes. Also any other suggestions as to lighting upgrades while I have the headlights out?

Welcome - I am going to make this very easy for you. LCI is 2008 E-60's and up... if you want to upgrade your lighting its fairly easy to do it all yourself and there are plenty of DIY's to do it. I bought ALL of my lighting from member John@motorcepts.. great pricing and great quality. Check my sig for my mods on lighting. The AE's, low beam upgrades and HID's for fogs are ridiculously bright and look AMAZING. I did all the installs myself and I was surprised and how easy it is and how much I learned about my car in the process. Let me know if you wants some pics, i can send to you + reach if you need anything else.

Thank you for the response. If I was going to upgrade the AE then what else could be upgraded at the same time to save having to remove again? You mentioned Low beam upgrades? Could you please tell me a little more about that? I assume that would be the same basic removal to replace those. Also can I ask a ball park figure for expense? And how would I get ahold of John? Eventually I would like to upgrade all interior lighting but unless its better as a package it can wait. Thanks again!

very easy if you are least a bit handy. if you plan on doing all the lights i'd do it all at once. you do not have to remove the front bumper or anything like that...
he would get you a package price for everything. i don't want to quote pricing but it will be a GREAT deal i am sure. the low beam you currently have is around 4k, which is stock color. if you upgraded to 6k its a bit closer to pure white and matched up my fogs/ae's. if you like it a bit more BLUE you could go 8k or 10k, etc... i recommend 6 though it looks great. if you search "angel eye" in the DIY section of the forum you should find a GREAT one .. let me know if you can't and ill post a link later. the fogs are a bit harder to install but you would be amazed at how much brighter your car will light up the road

email --- JOHN@motorcepts.com , tell him i sent you lol

We carry the Ice Lite for your E60 on our website. But if you give us a call at 925-521-0577 and speak to Tim he will be able to help you out with what you will need and give you a good price. And with other lighting you can do I recomment upgrading your foglights like the previous user posted above with the picture.
