My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
If you get 20" with the profile 35 for fronts and 30 for rear, won't it make the wheel set diameter 1" bigger, thus the wheel gap is even smaller (and possibly rub)? Or do you mean with the 20", you will have 30 up front and 25 for rear? I would think for 20" with even thinner tires, it would be noticeable, no? Or do you guys just love the look of 20" too much that the slightly lower ride quality is negligible?
I have 19" and thinking about changing to a slightly higher profile tire (40 front 35 rear), which will make it 1" bigger, but I am afraid the gap is too small and it may rub... My car is lower 1.5" in front, 1.2" in back, which is similar to the H&R sport springs.

yea jon my options were oem 167's or something from Iforged . I just dont want my kid hating the ride in the back or the woman complaining either. Its been awhile since i had a lowered ride. I live in the los angeles area not too far from downtown, and we have the crappiest roads.
Stockers = Safe, comfortable, but doesn't look as good.
19s = Semi-Safe, Semi Comfortable, looks good but you need to sport or lower it with springs which sacrifice ride.
20s = Scary in LA, drive like a grandma, looks great but you might need to roll your fenders or lower your car depending on the setup. Plus performance is sacrificed because the rim is heaver/larger diameter.
If I were you? Id stick with stock. If not, get M166 rims and use eibach springs.
Depends how you fix it up and what color combo.. this is a friends M5 with maya 20's, not bad IMO
although he's M5 was lemoned..hmm what;s up with the lemon M5's? he told me he knows of around 9 of them..
