I have 18" OEM 166 on my UK E60. I've seen some replica 20" 166s and would like to know if this size is too big for the car? I don't want to roll my arches and i dont want any rubbing when turning or going over humps.

what do you guys think?

Sorry but your 18" 166's are replicas. OEM 166's are available only in 19".

I think 166's look right only in the OEM size, in 20" size they look weird to me. But it is possible to fit 20" wheels, just have to be pedantic with the widths, offsets and tyres.

maybe they're not 166s then. but they definitely are OEM as they were an option. It's the wheels you get on the m sport models... not sure what they are called.

So you think I should go with the 19s?

Check the right wheel type here:

Yeah I meant 166's look right in the OEM size rather than in 20". Many other wheels look great in 20".
However, I'd prefer 19" wheels. Don't have to worry so much about the potholes etc...

If you have OEM now, don't go rep. If you really like 166 then get 19" OEM 166.

yeah I'm deciding between the 166s or 172 19" reps. why would you not recommend reps?

Replicas are low quality and you would have to replace em after about a yr or so because they bend and crack very easily, as opposed to the OEM that is built for durability... DUHHH, Joking

There are good quality replicas as well, like Miro for example.

However, too often people have to struggle with replica wheels. They have (I've been there as well...) balancing problems, easily bending rims, too large center bores (74,1mm instead of 72.6mm) etc.
