Hi all I am looking to but some wheels for my car and I have been all over the forum looking for awnsers and have not found a straight one.

I want to know If I will have any problems with this setup. Is ther a preffered offset?

20 X 8.5 front Offset: 13mm
20 X 10.5 Rear Offset: 26mm

Tire size that tire rack is recommending is

255/30-20 front
295/25/20 Rear

I seen alot of members have this as a tire size

245/35/20 Fronts
275/30/20 Rears

Which wuld be the best setup? is it just personal prefrence.. Also I am wondering about rubbing issuse will it be a problem with any of these setups?

These are the wheels I am considering any opinions

Your post should be titled "to rub, or not to rub" since from what I gather some members get away with 285/25/20 rears, but 295? I don't think so.

No 20" is just as safe, just NOT those tire specs combined with those offsets.

You will be ok with 245 up front and 285 rear at most.

Yes, rubbing, ride quality (hard to enjoy the car when the wheels rub the fenders all the time), not much difference in speedo since 20" wheels are still within 3% of stock diameter. I didn't mean you couldn't go with 20's I meant that width you described was too wide not too tall. Any time you go bigger than stock wheel you have to expect some deterioration of ride quality, but with the recommended ranges those are kept to a minimum. Good luck with your wheels.

Yes I am thinking about buying them for looks only and the closeout price, which was most attractive. I also had my eyes on the Breyton race gts which is definetly a lighter wheel..

Pjinca - Thanks for the comments. I understand if I went with what tire rack says to go with that I will have rubbing issues. I guess the question that I was trying to ask if i went with these tire sizes

245/35/20 Fronts
275/30/20 Rears

I just want to make sure i will not have any *major* problems with the tires and wheels I am choosing. Also my concern by going with the sizes above and not the Tire rack suggested sizes that I would be cool. I just don't want to be too far out of BMW Spec, which could affect *major* alignment and speedo where it could be a problem down the road. I plan on kleeping my baby for awhile.
