if this setup 255/35 - 20 (front) and 285/30 -20 (rear) from a previous '05 645 will fit on an '08 535i sport or not?? given so many M6 style 167 wheels are on our E60 (non M5) i would think so but would like to be sure.....THX board members!!

They will rub--tires are too wide.

Find out what the offsets are. Also, what are the wheel sizes, 20x9 and 20x10?

too wide...meaning front, rear or both tires will rub?!??! if this is the case then howcome theres somebody with this exact tire setup but instead on set of BBS and he seems to be fine? unfortunately i dont know the offset nor wheel sizes to these ASANTI's but it was previously taken off a '05 645 (E63) so im hoping they're good to go....plz advise....

sorry (still gettin' familiar here)...im referring to the set of BBS listed in the classifieds for sale now which has the exact TIRE setup im questioning, also @top of his listing he is indicating that his wheels will fit both E60 & E63 so this is why im assuming offsets & wheel sizes are comparable to the ASANTI's??!?!

it depends on offset and width of wheels... on front 255 wont fit in the regular non m5 cars unless you want to make it rub... i tried to put 255 on mine and wouldnt fit.

rear will probably work but again its offset that can give you a problem..

depends on offset it can hit your strut bar or suspenstion or anything...

so it might be a good idea to check offset if you can..

The BBS wheels you are mentioning originally came off of Freed0ms E60. He sold the E60 and picked up the M6. I will tell you that without the info on offset of the Asanti's, no one can give you a 100% positive answer.

Van used to have those BBS on his 545 but I don't think he had the same size tires. I think he had Bridgestone Potenzas size 245/35 and 275/30 and then he got bigger tires for the M6. It still may depend on offsets but I'm pretty sure the tire sizes on the BBS, same sizes mentioned by RC1818, will rub and a regular E60.
