Hi everyone I'm just curious about tire sizing I have just bought a new E60 for the wife and it needed some wheels so the first thing i did was bought wheels. The car feels fine no rubbing or vibrations at high speeds or any speeds but I notice something my tire size is 245/30/20 in the front and 285/30/20 in the rear is this gonna create a prob for me in the future? I noticed everybody with staggered has 35 in the front and 30 in the rear or 30 in the front and 25 in the rear.

 

First of all congrats! Second, are you dropped? Plan on dropping? Sports package?

If you plan on dropping it, you will rub unless you do some negative camber. If you're running 285 in the rear it means one of two things, you are running 10" in the rear or 10.5" with a stretch tire.

although I'd recommend a drop, if you don't you'll be fine.

 

My concern is the tire wall size my front and back is 30 I been researching and everybodys tire wall size is either 30 in the front and 25 in the back or 35 in the front and 30 in the back for staggered fit.

 

Are you sure its not 245-30-20, and 285- 25 -20? Regardless, just maintain the proper air pressure. If you let the tires start getting tooo soft, you may increase the chances of damaging the wheels or tires.

 

we recommend sidewalls of 35 and 30 for more rim protection. according to rolling diameter though, the sizes of sidewalls should be 30 and 25 for 20" wheels.

You will want to do a 245/30/20 and 285/25/20 front and rear, other than that you should not have issues.

 

If you dont plan on dropping the car, it should be fine. I am running 245/30 front and 275/30 in rear and i am dropped.
