Hi - I have an '07 E60 (530i and I'm in USA) with the standard 10-speaker audio system (not Logic7). Apparently there are 2 speakers under the seats (driver, front passenger). For the life of me I can't see them or find them. I'm putting my hand all under there and just can't find them. Exactly how are they mounted - like are they mounted to the floor and firing upward, or mounted to the seat and firing downward, or just how are they installed? Thanks much!!

They are covered by a grill/plate underneath the seat which is probably why you can't feel them. They're mounted in the floor firing upward. I know I've seen some pictures on the forum that show someone removing them to replace them with Earthquake subs, I can't look for the post now, but I'll try to find it later.

Thanks for the photo! I had always thought that the speakers were attached to the seat! Photo shows them to be on the floor?

The subwoofers under the seat come only on the Premium Sound Package in the US which includes the Premium HiFi System, Logic 7, CD Changer, DSP and 13 speakers (including the two subwoofers).

That's right, they are on the floor facing up.
