Hi everyone. After much deliberation I finally opted for 19" style 172M rims with Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres (245/35/19 fronts & 275/30/19 rears). My 135M rims have now been sold.

Pictures below. Sorry about the lack of sunshine and the poor state of my driveway. This is England and we haven't had any sunshine so far in 2006 Driveway being dug up and replaced in two weeks time

Just pleased to have finally ditched those Run Flats Thanks to all for the advice / feedback.

How come you went with Conti Vmax rather than the standard fit Conti Sport Contact 2's ?

Well the place where i got the set from was a place in germany - i drove out there yesterday and had a look at the 166 and the 172 - whichever i took, he was going to put conti sport contact 2 on them (that is what he promised me on the phone couple of days earlier). well after choosing the 172 (because of legal issues here in austria as 166 are not permitted on the e60 here), he realized he only had vmax, so had to give me the vmax for the same price (2150 EUR all incl).. only once i got home to vienna, i realized how much each of the vmax cost (something like 500 EUR per wheel on average)...

Did you get that done at HR Owen, NW10 last week?

I saw one parked there on their driveway.

Love those wheels!

yup, i agree with you, but to be honest, i don't even think i can appreciate expensive tires - i just want something that is quiet, and if the cheap chinese and korean (no offense to anyone please) tire maker does the job, then i will go for it.

btw, are you getting spacers in the rear? technically speaking, 24 mm spaceres (12 on each side) should make the rear align with the front...
