I currently have about 9000 miles on my car, which I bought in November. It will not be long before it is time to replace my tires.
When I replace my tires, I plan to buy a set of 19" wheels. I feel the 18" are too small, and I want the added performance.
I plan to buy non-runflat style tires. Most likely, I'll get Michelins.
My question is.... how do I know which size wheels to get?
I'm currently looking at either the new M5 wheels (Style 166 M).... which are:
M5 Wheels
Or I would like the new M3 wheels (Style 127 M)
M3 Wheels
Will either of these fit my E60? How do I know for sure, is there a chart somewhere which can show the tire size I would need, and offset? I only want to do this if I can keep my speedometer accurate, and prevent issues like rubbing.

Problem is the M5's suspension geometry is different from the other E60 so the offset os the wheels are different. From what I have been told and have seen they wont fit without some work on the car
Best is to stick with the same or as close to the same as BMW's own E60 19" wheels
You can use a tire size calculator ( do a google search ) to find out which tire to get that will keep the diameter the same as stock tires for the wheels you buy. Or just stick with BMW's 19" tire sizes

The rear M5 rim is pretty close to the other E60 wheels
Its the front im worried about
My dealer and i tried for interest sake to order one wheel, but germany wanted a M5 VIN and owner name before they send it

The offset of the e46 does not work with the 5 series. Though you could use two sets of rears on the five.
