My Ride: 535d E60 350+hp/700+nm DPF off
Default

Hello,
Right now i have OEM 245/40/18 wheels on my car with winter Nokian Wr G2 tires and planning to get 19" 166 style M5 wheels 8.5J and 9.5J

Can i use 245/40/19 and rear 275/35/19 on my 535d E60 M-packet instead of the recommanded 245/35/19 and rear 275/30/19 ?
The only difference i see its a 4% deviation on the speedometer.

Will this setup fit my car with no rubbing? Does anyone from the forum has this setup.. and can confirm no problem with it?

Thanks.

I would go with a 285/30 rear and you'll have the same overall diameter as you do with the 18's, Only issues would be the rear rim offset would need to be et25 or more, not 20 or less. When you look at the car from behind you'll see HUGE tread !

The setup you listed the fronts will be a tad too big for fender clearance while turning, A 235/40 will give you the room if you wanna run a 40 series

For a light setup a 225/40 for the front, but thats just crazy talk

This is a very common topic and a simple search of the forum topics will give you a wealth of information on it.

To answer: you cannot use that tire size because NON-M cars do not have fenders that are as wide as the M5 which disallows you from getting that profile of tire.

You need the following to avoid rubbing:

245/35/19 front
275/30/19 rear

Thanks for the answer, i think I will go then for 35 and 30.
The wheels i am going to get have 8.5J ET 12 front and 9.5J ET 18.
Any problems with this?

Also could 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 be a problem? Will this affect the DSC?

I just picked up a set of 166s for my 550i. This was just what I needed! Thanks!

I have 245/40-19 in front and 275/35-19 rear with 12mm spacers, no rubbing att rear specially if you dont have spacers and M5 offset and not M6.
In the front it rubbs a little in the plastic when turning full, but for me a nevver turn full at speed so whats the problem
You neever hear it as you driving slow whe turning full angle.
You cas see pics at my album and I just put a anwer on a tread on the E60 threads, asking for 275/35 or 275/40 on the rear
Don't forget, if You car have still waranty it uoo to you my don't have any left
