What are some down sides to running 19" fronts and 20" rears on a '05 545i Sports Package? The tires are already staggered so I couldn't rotate them in the first place.

So let me understand, you want to run 19" wheels in the front and 20" wheels in the back?

As long as you run with right size tires, it should be ok, except the funny look.

Even though it is uncommon on BMW's, other car makes do this on some vehicles. Like the Chrysler Crossfire with 18 front 19 rear.

However, that car is small in the front and big in the back whereas our cars are pretty even body wise front and rear.

No big deal, there is a chance people may sense there is something different, but they'll never put their finger on it until you tell them. Gives you a little more cush in the front should you hit something hard. Hell if you really want to throw people off, put a slightly different wheel from the left side to the right. Have two matted on the left one side and the polish or satin on the right. And still people would never notice unless you tell them.

And yes, there are a couple members here with them that way, but unless they told you you would never know.

Will it not mess with the tyre pressure monitor? As it works on the rotation of the wheels.

I was thinking of doing this as well. The corvette has this setup as well as do other hi-pro cars.
